Description

Pale thallus with lirelliform apothecia bordered by puffy labia; gray-pruinose disks only occasionally or slightly exposed, mostly at edge of thallus; MICROSCOPY: tips of paraphyses bulbous, ornamented with minute bumps, spores colorless, muriform, about 90-100 µm long, 2-4/ascus; CHEMISTRY: thallus K-, PD+ orange-red (protocetraric acid); FIELD ID not possible; dissection & chemical tests required
