Green to gray-green granular, minutely lumpy thallus with flat black disks; MICROSCOPY: exciple dark red-brown, hypothecium pale brownish, spores colorless, 8/ascus, about 15 x 3 µm, 4-celled; FIELD ID not possible, dissection required to observe short spores & characteristics of apothecia
