Description

Green (tan or brown occasionally--senescent?), minutely areolate thallus with black-rimmed disks 0.2-0.3 mm in diameter, disks granular in texture; mostly appears to associate closely with other rock crusts, e.g., Pertusaria plittiana, Phlyctis petraea; MICROSCOPY: spores brown, 4-celled; FIELD ID of fresh green thalli possible, especially if adjacent to lichen associates
