Pale green, relatively thick thallus with chestnut-brown disks; disks rimmed pale tan, contrasting with disk color; disks often frosted with bright yellow pruina; CHEMISTRY: yellow-dusted disks K+ purple; FIELD ID: a field K test can confirm reaction of yellow pruina; unmistakable with experience
