Description

White, ecorticate thallus scrawled with white lirellae, appearing as cracks or fissures in the thallus, & edged with low white rims; labia usually closed or only slightly open, except younger lirellae near edges of thallus, which can have exposed dark-gray disks; MICROSCOPY: spores colorless, 4-celled, about 15-17 x 6-7 µm; CHEMISTRY: no substances or spot-test reactions; FIELD ID possible with experience
