Description

Pale yellow-green thallus continuous to rimose; lemon-yellow disks (due to yellow pruina) with thick rims, old rims beaded or with striate grooves; old disks may appear to contort or fold in upon themselves (photo below); CHEMISTRY: thallus K-, KC+ yellow-gold; FIELD ID: distinctive, but field chemical tests needed to confirm ID

Similar Species

Lecanora louisianae also has yellow disks, but its thallus is K+ yellow & its disks C+ orange
