Blue-gray aggregate leprose thallus of relatively large, fuzzy granules, scattered in small patches; rhizohyphae absent; CHEMISTRY: thallus K-, KC-, C-, PD+ orange-red, UV- (protocetraric acid, other substances); FIELD ID not possible, given great rarity; requires thin-layer chromatography to ID with certainty
