Description

Olive-green, lumpy, continuous thallus with dark brown lecanorine disks; disk rims are thick & lumpy; thallus is usually small, sometimes with only 1 or a few disks, rarely crowded (as above); FIELD ID: when studying bark (especially twigs) through a hand lens, the small thalli of this species jump out at you with their big, distinctive disks
