Description

Grayish-white, matte, continuous thallus with bold, sessile lirellae; disks hidden, black labia large, puffy, with smooth, semi-gloss surface; lirellae long, branched, dense (as above) to fairly sparse; MICROSCOPY: spores 4-celled, colorless, with rounded ends, about 13-15 x 3-5 µm; FIELD ID not possible, dissection required

Opegrapha vulgata has 6-celled spores; Zwackhia viridis has slightly smaller, more cracked lirellae, a darker brown or green thallus & more cells/spore
