Squamules brown (green when wet), flat to convex, 2-4 mm in diameter, with white-pruinose margins; apothecia brown, on surface of some squamules; FIELD ID possible, taking care to eliminate 2 congeners

Similar Species

Psora decipiens squamules are orange-brown with white pruinose margins, & black apothecia are at edges of squamules; Psora icterina has green squamules with yellow edges, & its brown or black apothecia are also on the surface of squamules, not on edges
