Description

Yellowish foliose thallus with isidia on older parts of lobes, numerous short black cilia at lobe edges with distinct bulbs at bases (sometimes difficult to see in the field); lobes branching to form rounded loops which at a glance resemble disks; undersides black; CHEMISTRY: medulla K+ red (norstictic acid); FIELD ID: best identified under dissecting scope
