Greenish-gray continuous thallus with scattered orange or chestnut-colored, hemispherical, sessile, naked perithecia, about 0.1-0.3 mm in diameter; microscopy: spores colorless, 4-celled, about 16-23 x 3-5 µm, with acute tips

Similar Species

Porina heterospora has a greenish to orange-brown thallus, the larger perithecia concolorous with thallus, & its spores are 12-14-celled
