Dull yellow-green, semi-glossy thallus of long, slightly ruffled lobes 1-4 mm wide, with sparse side-branches; coarsely granular, yellow-green marginal soralia forming along older lobes, often only on the lower side of the lobes; undersides tan, medulla white; chemistry: medulla K+ yellow, KC+ reddish orange, C-, PD- (a brew of caperatic, protolichesterinic, lichesterinic & secalonic acids)
A young Tuckermannopsis could be confused for this species, but it should have black marginal pycnidia
