Green, lumpy thallus, continuous, shiny, often separating from substrate; edges of thallus lined black; solitary hemispherical perithecia mostly covered in thalline tissue, large black ostioles visible at summit; isidia sparse, twisted, coralloid; MICROSCOPY: spores colorless, 8-celled, 32-48 x 5-6 µm; FIELD ID possible with experience

Similar Species

Porina scabrida also has thalline warts & isidia, but there are no black ostioles at wart summits & no black edge to thallus
